InboxAlly begins detecting your emails shortly after you send a campaign to our seed list. While some data may appear quickly, a full picture of engagement activity takes longer to materialize. Here's how the timing typically works:

What to Expect in the First 72 Hours

  • First 2–6 hours: Many of the emails sent to seed addresses are detected and appear in your dashboard. You’ll see early inboxing and initial delivery stats during this time.
  • 6–12 hours: Additional detection and early engagement data may populate due to different inbox refresh cycles and possible sending delays on the ESP side.
  • Within 12–72 hours: The remaining engagement activity completes. This longer timeline reflects typical user behavior and avoids patterns that might appear artificial to mailbox providers.

Why Your Report May Not Match Your Full Send Volume

InboxAlly typically engages with up to 80% of the emails sent to our seed addresses. This is intentional and a result of how our infrastructure is designed to operate. To maintain system performance, our system includes built-in cooling periods and load balancing mechanisms. These constraints help us process engagement actions in a reliable, scalable way across all users.

If you're seeing fewer emails or engagements than expected, it doesn’t mean something is wrong; it reflects a balance between your setup and our deliverability-focused engagement model.

Need More Clarity?

If you're seeing significantly fewer detected emails than expected, especially below the 80% threshold, and you're unsure whether it's related to actual delivery issues or normal system behavior, we recommend running an inbox placement test.

InboxAlly provides placement testing seeds specifically designed to help you evaluate whether your emails are reaching the inbox, spam folder, or being dropped. These seeds offer a controlled environment for accurate testing, independent of the seeds used for engagement.
